Call Mickey Haller
Tale
Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the ground running. Relocating around Los Angeles, he takes on cases while balancing a personal life that includes being a father and having two ex-wives. Originally set to be picked up by CBS for a series order in 2020, it was canceled shortly before filming the first episode due to COVID.

It has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, “The Brass Verdict.” Mickey Haller owns several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms on them. California personalized plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all of Mickey’s plates have at least eight. Okay, I just finished this show and I still don’t understand why people gave it low ratings. It deserves at least an 8-8.5 for sure.
I ended up watching 6 episodes in one go
I was very skeptical about watching this because of the low ratings and not so good reviews but I thought I would give it a try for a few episodes and then decide. I have seen the movie THE LINCOLN LAWYER and we all love Matthew McConaughey so Manuel Garcia-Rulfo seemed like a miscast. I think he is also one of the reasons why not many people are watching this show because he is not a big name but he is really good as The Lincoln Lawyer. I liked his performance and I will definitely check out his other works as I am not too familiar with him either.
Waiting for season 2
And about the show, it has all the ingredients of a crime thriller drama. The acting, the pacing of the show and the production, everything is good. If you like shows like BOSCH or other court shows then give it a try and you will end up liking it. Let’s hope Netflix won’t cancel it.
It deserves more attention and love than it is getting
Some movies and shows get unnecessary hate and this is one of them.
