The world's most famous superhero and comic book's most famous journalist face the pressures and complications of balancing work, justice, and parenthood in today’s society. The pilot pays homage to "Action Comics" #1 (Superman’s Debut) by featuring the hero’s original Golden Age costume in live action for the first time. The famous green car from the cover is also featured.

. . Superman & Lois is much more entertaining than its rather generic title might suggest.
However, the premiere is really likable, and this intense cinematography gives a touch of Man of Steel mixed into Smallville
The series makes the most of Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch’s chemistry, using the two characters and their romance in a way that Supergirl never could. Superman & Lois may feel completely separate from the rest of the Arrowverse, but that’s likely to be a selling point for many viewers. The only thing to hope for from this show is that it’s still a balanced mix of genres, but not a soap opera like other CW shows.
