The city of New Rome is faced with a duel between Cesar Catiline, a brilliant artist who advocates a utopian future, and greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero. Coppola abandoned the project entirely in 2007 and didn’t begin developing it again until 2019. There are numerous moments throughout the film where hand movements jump between shots. The cinematography was certainly a spectacle

However, the special effects were either a strong complement to the shooting sequences or embarrassing. I liked the dreamy aesthetic of the films, but the dialogue was either cartoonish or didn’t feel like it fit the plot/characters well.
I’m ashamed that I liked it
My favorite part of the movie was definitely the Virgin Pledge sequence. It didn’t really affect the story either, but the song was really good and the visuals were nice to look at. Overall, the movie is definitely not for most people. It’s a terrible movie that I loved for its weird characters that gave me a good laugh.
