Essex and Wales collide when Gavin and Stacey fall in love, bringing their friends, family and baggage with them. With the exception of scenes filmed in London in the first episode, the entire series was filmed in Wales, including scenes set in Wales. Essex. In Season 3, both Bryn and Gavin. the cars have completely different registration numbers than the previous series. Gavin’s blue Saxo changed from T-reg (MR 1999) to X-reg (MR 2000). I have to say I don’t quite understand the previous reviewer as I think I’m on a different planet than everyone else and felt the need to clarify. Gavin & Co. Stacey is one of the best comedies I’ve seen in years. It has an amazing cast and a great script written by Ruth Jones and James Cordon. The show revolves around Gavin (a boy from Essex) and Stacey (a receptionist from Barry Island) who start their relationship over the phone while at work. The feedback on the series was so good that a second series has already been commissioned.
