James Gunn started “CREATURE COMMANDOS” before he took over DC
It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon. Gunn himself greenlit the project when he became CEO of DC Studios. Series writer and creator James Gunn appears in the opening credits with a laptop writing a script.

. Appears in the Crazy Cartoon Cast of AniMat: The Return of the King (of the Hill) (2023). I’ve always loved the DC Universe, and while I think the DCEU is hated too much, I’ve been very disappointed with a lot of the DCEU projects.
This series has great characters and is extremely creative
I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, that’s the key right there. There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the movies because they think, “yet another superhero movie, damn, there’s too many of them,” because we’re all the same, just a generic action movie (especially the sequels). I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait.

I also think that because Marvel is so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans), and I think if everything at DC works out over the next few years, the lesser-known characters will be able to do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and really have a special vibe.
