Taylor Sheridan makes her female characters very shallow even when they seem strong, and this series is no different. But the show is a winner for me because Billy Bob steals every scene; even the ones where topless women appear!
This is his show!
The way he describes the oil business is probably very true to how the industry is run. BB has the best lines describing the value of oil and what makes the world go round (oil).
His female characters are extremely flawed
The scripts are great, the rigs actually work very enlightening. I just don’t get how his daughter is an idiot and his wife is a loser, but I guess that’s the Sheridan way.
But for the great lines and the best Billy Bob Thornton, watch this show
He’s brilliant.
